The holidays can be stressful, not just for us but for our dogs, too.
Our next free SocialDog socialisation clinic is all about helping you make the right choices for your dog during the busy holiday period.
Whether you’re hosting guests, visiting family, travelling with your dog, or introducing your dog to other dogs in someone else’s home, there are many things to consider. Some dogs cope well with the excitement, the crowds, and the changes. Others may struggle. Sometimes the kindest and safest choice is to leave your dog at home. Other times, bringing them along is completely fine — as long as you know how to set things up properly.
We will talk through real, practical situations such as:
• Should you bring your dog to a family gathering, or is it better to let them stay home?
• What to do if the home you’re visiting already has a dog your dog doesn’t get along with.
• How to manage children, guests who aren’t comfortable with dogs, or a house full of people.
• Planning for long trips or travel with your dog.
• How to prevent setting your dog up to fail in busy or unfamiliar environments.
• What “social enough” really means for holiday events.
And more!
Bring all your burning questions – from everyday meet-ups to reactivity challenges – and get expert answers tailored to you and your dog.
This session is completely free, online, and live.
